wanderlust \ normandy, france

Live each day with a grateful heart. Canadian Thanksgiving has come and gone but there are so many reasons to be grateful for this year. Confetti & Co. continues to celebrate, my first wedding season was a success and I got a few good travels in this year all because of an amazing day job. I couldn’t be more thankful. As wedding season comes to a close, I finally have a bit more time to blog – 2015 love stories, travel and of course, life as I know it.

First stop: Normandy
Sometimes, I forget how much I love living on the West Coast. How much I crave fresh air and the ocean breeze. During my week in Paris, Mike and I spontaneously decided to rent a car and drive towards Normandy where we visited Omaha and Juno beach. We wanted to be near the ocean and escape the busy city.
Pinch me, this place was stunning. You learn all about it in history class but I can’t even start to explain how unbelievably surreal it feels when you actually step onto its’ sandy beaches.

I wished I could’ve stayed a little while longer…..
