life \ 2015 in a nutshell

“So the adventure begins…..” – anonymous

2015 – thank you so much for being the best yet! This year has been truly defining and I’m so grateful for all the experiences the last twelve months brought to me. I took both my career and passion projects to places I never thought would be possible in such a short period of time, I met amazing individuals who have stepped into my life, I got to travel & explore, I gained new perspective and celebrated my 12 year anniversary with my husband – who continues to be a solid engine in my life.  I can’t wait to see what 2016 will bring for me and my family.

Confetti & Co. will be experiencing some small shifts during 2016. I’ll do a full post once it’s all ready to go. One big project I’ll be working on and documenting throughout the year is #ProjectLife. I’m really excited for this project to begin because it’ll allow me to get creative and craft again but the most important aspect of all is that it’ll allow me to document life and journal the moments that are important to me – not what is only beautiful and perfect. If you want to get a glimpse into my day-to-day (not that glamorous) life, follow me on snapchat @amyteixeira.

Before we ring in 2016, here is recap of a few important learnings from the year –
Whatever I want to be is up to me….
I met an incredible mentor this year and every time I thought I was slipping off the grid, he reminded me the importance of manifesting and creating your own reality. Dreams don’t work unless you do. Set intentions, always think big picture and don’t get hung up on the next steps.

Work life balance
We cannot function without balance and burn out these days is not an option. Enjoy that glass of wine, sleep early, go for a hike, hang out with friends who you haven’t seen in a while. Your emails, errands and social media followers will always be there when you come back. If you loose some followers? that’s okay too! Your true audience will stick by you no matter what.

Fitness & health
I did something extremely out of my comfort zone this year and I’m absolutely obsessed. Kickboxing. It’s the best thing I did for myself. It kept me focused, motivated and challenged beyond anything I’ve ever imaged. Not only do you have to strive towards a harder punch, you brain is always on predicting when the next punch is coming in at you. Am I the next Adriana Lima? Probably not LOL but staying healthy and fit allows me to better focus on all other areas of my life. I also get excellent sleep, softer skin, lowered stress levels and of course, better fitting clothes! Who doesn’t love that.

That’s a wrap! Time to get the party started.
