Who isn’t a sucker for good lookin’ food, especially if it’s heart shaped? I recently got a new waffle maker in preparation for Valentines Day breakfast (in bed). I took it out for a test spin last week and I couldn’t be happier. I didn’t get a chance to document the step-by-step (apologies) but I did want to share with you the recipe and snaps of the final product.
Happy early Valentines Day!
– 2 cups of all purpose flour
– 1 tsp of salt
– 4 tsp of baking powder
– 2 eggs
– 1/3 cup of melted butter
– 2 tsp of vanilla extract
– 1 1/2 cup of milk (heated up)
Step 1: In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt and baking powder
Step 2: Preheat waffle iron while you are mixing up the ingredients
Step 3: In a separate bowl, beat the eggs then add the milk, butter and vanilla. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture; mix until blended completely. I really like to use my Kitchen Aid mixer for messy jobs like this!
Step 4: Don’t forget to spray your preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour mix onto hot waffle iron.
